Under Michigan Law a person, unless otherwise exempted from the prohibition, can not legally carry a concealed pistol without a Concealed Pistol License (CPL). MCL 750.227(2). You should note that a CPL is sometimes referred to as a 'CCW Permit (carrying a concealed weapon permit)', however, in Michigan the proper term is "CPL" or Concealed Pistol License.

One of the requirements for obtaining a CPL is that the applicant has knowledge and has had training in the safe use and handling of a pistol by the successful completion of a properly certified pistol safety training course such as the NRA's Personal Protection in the Home course taught by an instructor with the proper certifications.

The NRA Personal Protection in the Home is the course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and provides information on the law-abiding individual's right to self-defense.

Our instructors are experienced trainers as well as shooters, hold multiple NRA Instructor Certifications, and are proud Military Veterans.
